Do you feel like you could do with getting away from the day by day stresses? Is it hard to find space for a weekly yoga practice because of other commitments? Would some space and time to yourself and for yourself be exactly what you need right now?

The latest offering from Emma’s Yoga Hut is a mini midweek retreat, a monthly 2 hours of yoga, restorative poses and an extended guided meditation, everything you need to nourish body and soul. All you need to do is bring yourself, all other equipment is provided. Step into a cosy fairy-lit mini studio for two hours of beautiful soothing yoga. The retreat starts with a few minutes of settling, leaving the day behind. The air is scented with essential oils designed to soothe and relax, if you like there are lavender eye pillows to help draw the focus inwards, and soft blankets for warmth and comfort.

From there we will be moving into an hour of asana, a mixture of static poses and yoga flow to stretch and strengthen the body, the yoga practice on this retreat is suitable for anyone, whether they have experience of yoga or not. After that we will move into some restorative yoga, using blankets and bolsters to hold poses, gently and fully supported, for extended periods – the best way to deeply relax not just body, but also the mind and the entire nervous system – before moving into an extended guided meditation, again using props to keep you comfortable, tucked up under blankets to keep you cosy; letting body, mind and soul be soothed even further. Leaving you with the best opportunity for a good nights sleep before facing the last half of the week,

The goal of the mini retreat is to give you space from everyday life without having to find the time and money to take a weekend or week long retreat. A little bit of space to recharge and restore yourself, giving you a mini boost. Aside from the physical and emotional benefits of yoga, the restorative part of the retreat is a wonderful way to tap into the bodies ability to heal, regenerate and rest at the deepest level. And savasana – when we lie back and take our guided meditation, has a huge array of benefits; it helps alleviate nervous tension and stress, reduces fatigue and regulates blood pressure. It eases breathing, soothes the sympathetic nervous system and brings peace of mind. All of that and it can also help improve sleep quality!

If this sounds like something you need then the November Tuesday Treat is in the classes section of the website and ready to book! Feel free to get in touch if you any questions or queries,
With Love,
Emma xx
