Hi there! I hope this blog post finds you well and happy! Change is a funny thing, it can impact us in surprising ways, and lots of us don't like change very much, it can be hard. So, maybe the word I should be using instead is evolution!
When I opened Emma's Yoga Hut in September 2021 I had a lot of ideas about what I wanted Emma’s Yoga Hut to be. At the core of these ideas was a central belief in the need for a safe space, a gentle escape from everything, a soft landing for people, a place where the wonderfully soothing practice of yoga could be bought into peoples lives. Life can be tricky, complex, over busy, often people are stressed and overworked and have very valid fears and stressors across a huge range of things. For me yoga has always been my sanctuary and escape from the constant noise of life, and I wanted to offer that welcoming, gentle shelter from the world to others through the yoga hut.
I also had somewhat ambitious ideas as to how much yoga I could teach realistically in terms of my own body, time management and maintaining my own practice! Like lots of us I spread myself too thin. This is why I stopped taking new 1:1 clients on recently, it was too much on everything else, the last thing I want is to be unable to offer that sanctuary at the yoga hut, especially when now it feels like the world needs it more than ever.
So recently I have been reassessing how things are going, what people are asking for, where the space is to change and diversify. And it has led me to creating a new timetable, and like the previous timetable, we will see where it leads! There remains 7 sessions a week, but the timetable is structured differently. There are 2 new classes, one of which was released a couple of weeks ago and it was filled within a matter of days. The second one is an early Tuesday evening class, another soothing and holistic yoga session which is suitable for all; complete beginners and more experienced practitioners alike. It will run from 645 – 745pm on a Tuesday. And there is only 1 daytime class, Fridays Yoga in the Afternoon. Take a peek at the new timetable here: Timetable | EMMA'S YOGA HUT (emmasyogahut.co.uk)
Obviously the Sunday Soothers remain in place and I am very excited to be in the process of planning a half day yoga retreat! Not only that, but over the summer holidays, rather than running the standard 6 week block of courses I am planning to hold a series of drop in extended 90 minute sessions, you can come along to as many or as few as you like, just choose your window and book online in advance, you can fit it in around holiday and work and family commitments as and when suits you, more on that coming very soon!
If you are interested in booking onto a course click on the course booking button on this website! Bear in mind there are only 3 places on any course and so they fill up quickly.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any queries or questions, the contact me button on this website has all those details on.
With love,
Emma x
