I hope that you are well?
Merry Christmas! Well, it might not always Merry - despite the fairy lights and jollity, its dark and cold, sometimes triggering, often a bit too busy. We need the deep rest that the rest of nature takes over winter, yet it is also the time when we are most stretched by outside demands – shopping, celebrations, family commitments, present wrapping, cards, all the usual work and domestic things, all in that damp, dark cold!

It is a good time to step back and give yourself permission to do a little less where and when possible; maybe taking another biscuit with your cup of tea on the sofa under a rug, a bit more lazily gazing out at the festive lights!
So, in the spirit of slowing down I have a small gift from me to you. A 15ish minute guided winter deep rest meditation recording for you to relax with - just click below on this unwieldly looking link - it will take you to a new window w here you can listen to this peaceful guided meditation.
Take time out for a peaceful relaxation that will leave you soothed and rested (and give you an excuse to hide from the family for a while too!)
All you need is a quiet spot – if necessary scribble a DO NOT DISTURB sign to stick on the door and warn anyone who lives with you to pay heed to it or else! I recommend blankets and pillows; these are always a welcome addition to any wintertime activity. This guided meditation is designed to be used at any time of the day or night and as such there is no ending bell, so if you do have things to do after your quiet time, maybe set an alarm just in case you accidentally drift off!

I hope you get to enjoy a few minutes of peace, self care and rest with this guided meditation gift!
Merry Christmas!
With festive love,
Emma x

She trained with the Traditional Yoga Association right here in Reading between 2016 and 2018 to achieve her 500 hour yoga teaching accreditation. Emma tries her best to practice yoga every day, but in winter this looks an awful lot like she is just lying down under a blanket!)
Just what I needed - thanks Emma 💛
